18-Hole Charity Golf Day

The very popular Patronal Festival Golf Day, sponsored by Buckingham James has become an important date in both the Brentwood Golf Club and South Weald Village annual Programme.  This year it is scheduled on Friday 28th June 2024.

The event starts with registration from 8am, breakfast from 8.30am and a shot gun tee off at 10.30am.

 

Not just a round of golf, there are challenges, prizes and events throughout the day to enjoy.

 

Ady from the Ace Golf Challenge will bring his tricks and fun with him for the day and following feedback from last year there will also be a Live Scoring app again too.  

 

The prize for a Hole In One will be a brand new Kia Car (thanks to mark and Allen Kia, Brentwood) worth £30,000.  We will also have the usual competition prizes as well as the chance to win a three night stay for two at the 5 Star Praia D'El Rey Marriot Gold & Beach Resort in Portugal Golf Break, a two night stay for four at Marriott Forest of Arden GC with half board accommodation and two rounds of golf, a TaylorMade SIM 2 Max Driver and many more exciting prizes up for grabs.  All our prizes are sponsored and this is greatly appreciated by the festival.

The Golf day, itself, raised over £3000 last year, whilst the Festival as a whole generated £15,000+ in 2022!  However, like all Charities, the last few years have been very challenging.

​

What does the money raised go for?  

The main beneficiaries are St Peter’s School and St Peter’s Church.  With the school expanding and the Church being the heart of our community, this support allows them to continue doing what they do best - teaching our youngest, building our community and reaching out to those in need.

 

We hope that the Festival, through its Events, will reflect this, especially the wonderful Flower Displays which have been enjoyed for 60 years!

The main Patronal Festival Weekend is from Friday 28th June to Sunday 30th June. Please ensure that you are not going away that weekend, especially if you have connections with South Weald!!
